Course Syllabus
Course Description
Welcome to Chemistry AP
Chemistry AP is the second year of our program that encompasses the material from Chemistry 11, Chemistry 12, and Chemistry AP. As you have proven yourself in 11H last year you will be able to do well again this year. Last year you only gained credit for Chemistry 11 so this year you will get a double credit in Chemistry 12 and Chemistry AP.
Your AP mark is based upon material completed in class and on assignments. The AP exam is an external exam in May, so the pace is very rapid in this course, but it has no bearing on your AP mark and is in fact optional. The Chemistry 12 mark is calculated from your AP mark, about 3% higher, but it also has a final written and practical exam in June.
